When creating these one-of-a-kind sculptures, I approach my work more from the perspective of a painter than traditional glassblower. The focus is color - vibrant color -- and the innate way the material transmits, reflects, and absorbs that color. You can see this sensibility in a number of approaches, ranging from the strictness of my blown work to the organic looseness of my fused panels; yet, all of my work shares a similar love of, and foundation in, color and color patterning.
